NSW: Man faces court over alleged home invasion, sexual assault

A man will face court today charged over an alleged home invasion and sexual assault
in Sydney's south west.

Police last night arrested a 26-year-old Bass Hill man at Yagoona in relation to the
August 11 incident.

A police spokesman says four men drove to a residence in Yagoona and forced their way
inside when the female occupant refused them entry.

One of the men .. believed to be wielding a firearm .. allegedly threatened the woman
and demanded cash before taking her into a room and attempting to assault her.

The 26-year-old man has been charged with aggravated break and enter .. committing
a serious indictable offence in company .. aggravated sexual assault in company .. and
deprivation of liberty.

He was refused bail and will appear at Bankstown Local Court today.
