NSW: Man accused of killing family appears in court

A 21 year old Sydney law student accused of killing his mother, father and sister hasmade a brief appearance in court by video link.

SEF GONZALES, who in earlier court appearances pleaded not guilty to three counts ofmurder, did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.

Central Local Court magistrate IAN BARNETT granted an extension of time for the prosecutionto serve GONZALES' lawyers with the brief of evidence.

The matter will return to court on October 9.

GONZALES in the sole survivor of his immediate family, who were stabbed in their NorthRyde home last July.

The body of his solicitor father TEDDY, aged 46, was found in the foyer.

His 43-year-old mother LOIVA was in the living room and his 18-year-old sister CLODINEwas found in her upstairs bedroom.

Both women had their throats cut.
