NSW: Man charged with Bega slaying to face court tomorrow

A Tenterfield man will appear in Bega court tomorrow, charged with the stabbing murder
of south coast man LEE MICHAEL PETRIE.

Mr PETRIE'S body was found last Thursday in bushland near Myrtle Mountain Lookout,
inland from Bega, in New South Wales's far south.

It is understood 41-year-old Mr PETRIE had a plastic bag over his head and a broken
knife blade embedded in his chest.

Police surrounded a local property at Wolumla, on the far south coast, last Friday
at dawn, arresting and charging a 39-year-old man over the slaying.

A second man has been charged with concealing a serious offence and has been released
on bail to appear in Bega Local Court next month.
