Qld: Federal MP accused of using office for state by election

BRISBANE, Jan 18 AAP - A federal MP was today accused of using his electorate office
to campaign for former Queensland ALP state secretary Mike Kaiser in the Woodridge by-election.

Queensland's Acting Opposition Leader, David Watson, said ALP election posters in the
window of Rankin MP Craig Emerson's office breached Commonwealth government guidelines.

But Mr Emerson said he obtained permission from the relevant government department
before putting the posters up.
