P1: Picture story of "The Faces of War" showing an Iraqi man who Baghdad authorities said
was injured in the first air strikes by the United States and Britain lying in hospital.

P2/3: The Iraq strike: graphic of where military strike had been launched on Iraq, dubbed
operation Desert Fox. Kuwait-based British Tornado bombers launched a fresh wave of attacks
against Iraq early this morning, with pics of explosions lighting up the Baghdad skyline.
Jassam Ghailan writhed in pain on his bed in hospital after a wall came tumbling down in his
home after the strikes. Survivors examine a crater left after the air strikes destroyed a

WORLD: China put its two most high-profile dissidents on trial for trying to start an
opposition party (Beijing). The worst of the economic woes was over for some Asian countries,
the IMF said. Police had carried out a new search of the official residence of jailed
Malaysian politician Anwar Ibrahim and taken away mattresses and pillows, his court was told
(Kuala Lumpur).

FINANCE: Golf millionaire Greg Norman has cancelled his new Boeing 737 executive jet worth
$44 million, as the regional economic downturn sends golf course developments into the rough.
Retail goliath Westfield Trust will spend up to $300 million redeveloping its WA retail
properties after getting the green light to expand its Shoppingtown Innaloo centre by
two-thirds. NAB chief executive Don Argus ruled out a hostile takeover bid of another big
bank, dashing speculation that NAB was readying itself to make a play for ANZ Banking Corp.
Retirement planning as he reached 60 prompted Lion Nathan chairman Douglas Myers to sell his
15 per cent stake in the beer company to Japan's biggest brewer, Kirin, earlier this year.

SPORT: Ricky Ponting said a man who claimed to be a bookmaker offered him a four-figure sum
a year ago to provide inside information about the Australian cricket team and pitch
